IUP
looking for partners for Music Program
Indiana University of Pennsylvania
is Looking for Brass Quintets
CAPE member IUP would like to pilot a
music application of broadband, Internet 2 infrastructure
for two Pennsylvania high schools. The project will
involve IUP music faculty helping the partner schools
organize a brass quintet. The year long project will
begin with visits to the schools by members of the IUP
faculty Hoodlebug Brass Quintet. They will help the
instrumental instructor organize the groups. At this
meeting, IUP faculty will meet the students, suggest
repertoire and prepare a practice schedule. They will
continue to work with the students throughout the year
using email discussion, digital audio and digital video
as well as synchronous high-bandwidth videoconferencing.
The videoconferencing will be used both for coaching
