Featuring Marratech software.

CAPE members have access to free use of an online auditorium for webconferencing, webcasting and online meetings. CAPE has contracted with Marratech (www.marratech.com) to provide two-way audio and video communication for up to 100 participants over broadband internet connections (LAN, DSL or cable modem) and audio participation over dial-up or telephone. The online auditorium joins the CAPE Learning Community online virtual classroom in a growing list of CAPE member benefits designed to help institutions experience new technologies at reduced costs.

The online auditorium offers chat, website access, application sharing and white board for presentation, demonstrations and collaborative file creation and editing. It allows for conferencing from individual computers using any combination of Windows, Macintosh and Linux operating systems and can be used as an alternative to videoconferencing for one or two persons at each site.
This CAPE-funded opportunity to use the online auditorium will be available to members at no cost through June 30, 2006. It represents an institutional savings of an $11,900 license fee plus annual support/upgrade fees over $2,000.
