From the Director...

Welcome to CAPE's home on the World Wide Web!

CAPE - Center for Advancing Partnerships in Education - is a non-profit consortium with a current membership of more than 150 colleges, universities, school districts, intermediate units, medical schools and hospitals, museums, and community-based organizations. CAPE's mission is to support partnerships among its members by using technology to overcome barriers of time and space.

CAPE's members are mostly small and medium-sized institutions, many of whom do not have the staff resources to research new technologies. CAPE provides services and opportunities to experience technology innovations through shared resources. Our focus is on technologically mediated collaboration.

CAPE is a "neighborhood" of K-12, postsecondary, and cultural institutions and organizations, which routinely use technology in order to collaborate. Through CAPE membership, institutions can benefit from a humanly scaled network extending across Pennsylvania. This network uses technology to build personal, professional and institutional relationships for increased outreach, improved quality, the development of new markets and stronger professional ties among individuals and member institutions.

If your organization is currently a member of CAPE, I encourage you to use all the resources within this website to increase our value to you and your colleagues. The "Member Gateway" is your entrance to our special member services.

If your organization is not yet a member of CAPE and you are visiting our website, I welcome you to browse the public pages of the website to learn more about CAPE's exciting role in the transformation of education. If you think you would benefit from our programs, services, and burgeoning relationships, please be in touch.
