Lehigh University is a charter member of the Internet2 project, a consortium led by over 190 educational institutions working in concert with government and corporate partners to facilitate and coordinate the development, deployment, operation and technology transfer of advanced network-based applications and network services. George Motter is the campus applications coordinator for Internet2 at Lehigh. George will describe how Internet2 operates, current and future applications both at Lehigh and across the network, and the finances involved in joining. He will then lead a general discussion on the issues of the Internet2.
