Topic: Building Constituency for Change: How CAPE Can Help You Get to the Tipping Point

Thursday, November 7, 2002
2:00 - 3:00 p.m.
Presenters: Galen Godbey, CAPE; Ray Wells, Wellbeing Systems, Inc.; Robert Hollister, Quakertown Central SD; John Ochs, Lehigh Univ.

The session begins with a brief analysis of the external forces that will require schools and colleges to prepare global-ready graduates, and the organizational agility required to create such people. Discussion will then focus on CAPE's resources that will help institutions:

  1. define the global-ready graduate;
  2. determine its current level of organizational agility;
  3. determine its internal trust levels, i.e., its readiness for undertaking change needed to become agile;
  4. strategies for encourageing positive attitudes toward change and getting to the "tipping point"; and
  5. curricular models that develop global-ready graduates.
