Presenters: Jennifer MacDougall, MAGPI; Karen Hicks, CAPE's Director of Academic Services; Lujean Baab, CAPE's Director of Training Curriculum; and Gene Mateff, CAPE's K-12 Project Specialist

CAPE members will soon be able to access Internet 2 at an affordable and attractive rate, for numerous educational applications, including virtually free international videoconferencing. CAPE is in the final stage of negotiating this new membership benefit through collaboration with MAGPI (the Eastern Pennsylvania Internet 2 GigaPOP). In this first phase, only members in the eastern half of the state will be eligible to participate. Discussions are in process with the Pittsburgh Supercomputing Center for western PA.

This VGT session will focus on the academic applications of Internet 2. CAPE and MAGPI will assist faculty, curriculum directors and academic officers, in identifying and making use of these applications.

To schedule your campus for this event, please contact your campus CAPE Operations Committee Representative who can Register Online for your site to participate.

Individuals are also invited to participate from CAPE's Training Center, located in Allentown, PA.
