Presenter: Dr. Ray Wells, CAPE Consultant

This get-together will introduce CAPE members to Dr. Ray Wells. Ray is leading and facilitating a number of events beginning in November, including:

  • The November 5 working conference at the Holiday Inn in Grantville, PA on "Bridging the Great Divide Between K-12 and Higher Education Through Technology and Collaboration"
  • A three workshop series hosted by Lehigh Carbon Community College (with a 2nd series at the Holiday Inn in Grantville, PA) focusing on "Aligning for Shared Success".

Ray Wells is a former higher education administrator with more than a decade of consulting experience. He has served more than 80 for-profit and not-for-profit clients, including significant change projects with Princeton University, University of Connecticut, Hershey Medical Center, MCP Hahnemann University, and Stevens Institute of Technology. He has been invited to facilitate learning experiences for numerous higher education associations - the Woodrow Wilson National Fellowship Foundation, the National Association of Presidential Assistants in Higher Education, and the American Council on Education Fellows Program - serving as a facilitator for plenary learning sessions.

For nearly four years, Ray worked with an on-going culture change program targeted towards Princeton's top 450 administrators and managers. He designed a series of workshops and assisted with the design of four change conferences that focused on improving work processes, enhancing performance, and using technology to leverage change.

Ray earned his Master of Arts from Bowling Green State University in student and adult development, and Ph.D. from Temple University in applied social psychology. He joined CAPE as an organizational consultant in January of 2001, and facilitated a well-received working conference focusing on the possibilities technology creates for educational systems.
