About CAPE...

Welcome
CAPE is a consortium of primarily small and medium-sized educational and other institutions. We support the efforts of member institutions to transform themselves through collaboration in the emerging global 'electronic neighborhood.' This website is a working medium for members and an information area for visitors.
If you are a non-member visiting to get acquainted or someone from an institution seeking a better understanding of CAPE's mission and services, we suggest starting with our Executive Director's welcome.

History
CAPE was founded in 1993 as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. It is governed by a Board of 17 Directors elected to serve 3-year terms. There are currently 120+ member institutions including public and private colleges, universities, community colleges, school districts, intermediate units, medical schools and hospitals, museums and community-based organizations.

CAPE's Mission
To create alliances by supporting partnerships and by using technology in imaginative ways to promote educational, cultural and economic opportunities and strengthen communities.

My affiliation with CAPE has facilitated my efforts to foster international collaboration through the use of educational technology. The benefits of this collaboration have proved valuable to Special Education Technology students at Indiana Univeristy of PA.

- Dr. Joseph Nolan, Dept. of Special Education & Clinical Services
